H.B. Fuller announced that its leading innovative core adhesive, CHM-1088ZP, has won the inaugural Outlook Asia Award, which recognizes innovative products and services for nonwoven personal care and hygiene products, made for, or by, the Asia Pacific and Indian subcontinent markets. This year’s Outlook Award recognizes H.B. Fuller’s CHM-1088ZP, the latest example of how it tailors product and process innovations to meet customers’ critical needs for high performance diapers in Asia Pacific. Developed at the company’s Asia Pacific Hygiene Technical Centre, the product is one of the highest performance core adhesives sold in China, according to the company, with its high wet strength contributing to core integrity and enhanced core performance in the diaper. Heather Campe, vice president, Asia Pacific, H.B. Fuller, comments, “The global drive to create thinner cores for diaper products is now evident across Asia Pacific. This is set to continue, with innovation being accelerated through the effective collaboration of manufacturers and suppliers to develop optimal solutions.” Campe adds, “We are delighted to be recognized by EDANA and the conference delegates, who represented key hygiene industry leaders in Asia. By working together to discover, develop and deliver innovative solutions, we are helping to answer and solve some of the hygiene industry’s biggest challenges.” Patricia Featherstone, chair of the EDANA Board of Governors, named H.B. Fuller as the winner during the final day of the Outlook Asia conference, November 27. Conference delegates decided which of the two finalist companies should be recognized for best meeting the needs of the nonwovens and personal care products supply chain. In a recent press release, EDANA, the leading global association and voice of the nonwovens and related industries, commented on how the Outlook Asia conference was the perfect time to point the spotlight back on the industry and give companies the opportunity to highlight their latest developments. Featherstone says, “We congratulate H.B. Fuller and their core adhesive as the first-ever winner.”
